Plantrepreneurship

Drawing inspiration from the artistic legacy of Emory Douglas, renowned for his graphic design contributions to the Black Panther Party during the civil rights era, I crafted a poster to spotlight an upcoming event hosted by a small, black woman-owned business. Douglas's distinctive style, marked by striking imagery and typography, served as a guiding influence. While my poster does not carry overt political connotations, it mirrors Douglas's ethos through the use of vibrant colors, bold lines, and a nod to African American cultural motifs. Employing techniques reminiscent of Douglas's own, I hand-drew much of the artwork featured on the poster, skillfully integrating it with textual elements to create a cohesive visual narrative.
